Factors that cause radial artery occlusion (RA) are analyzed. These are factors: 

• мsmall diameter of the RA (d ≤ 2.0 mm) or inconsistency of the size of the device and RA;
• high RA bifurcation;
• spasm RA; 
• tortuosity of the RA (Loop); 
• mediacalcinosis;
• Injury to the wall of the radial artery and the long-term location of the catheter (introducer) in the RA; 
• incorrect hemostasis;
• anticoagulation;
• 9.Distal RA (dRA)?

Recanalization of occlusions was performed retrogradely (accessed through the dRA on the hand) and antegradely (accessed through the ipsilateral ulnar artery)  with the hand dynamic strength assessment by the wrist exerciser prior to and after the recanalization.

 Dynamic arm strength was evaluated using an expander.

Fig. 2: Manufacturer Torneo (Article A-115-15B) - 15 kg (composition: rubber, silicone). Within 30 sec. the patient produced the maximum number of contractions. For the purity of the experiment, before the expander, the patency of the recanalized artery was not investigated. It was not the static but the dynamic force of the muscles that was studied.

 RA catheterization on the dorsum of the hand can decrease of RAO.

 Patency of the recanalized artery was estimated in 1-2 month after the recanalization via the ultrasound or angiography.
